The Yamaha MTS Marching Snare Drum features a top snare assembly underneath the batter head which gives you more distinct sounds in one drum, superior sensitivity at lower dynamic levels, and additional "zones" of tone color on the batter head.

On/off lever allows for fast and easy switching between sounds
Self-tensioning steel upper snares deliver a bright tone with crisp articulation and projection
Self-leveling mechanism keeps the upper snares at the proper height for a consistent sound.
13"x11" version (17.2lbs) offers high pitch, lighter weight and focused sound with precise articulation
14"x12" (20.1lbs) version offers dynamic, full-bodied sound with articulation
