Of all Chinese musical genres, one of the least know in the west has been the percussion ensemble called luogu. The music of China's parades, street festivals, and religious rituals is most often sounded on cymbals, drums, gongs and various other percussion instruments. This volume will introduce music lovers, teachers and students of all ages and specializations to the bright and colorful sounds of the luogu ensemble.
