The correct holder.
Would love to see specific instructions included for attachment. Not because it is difficult, but because every bass drum is different. Despite the angle, Holder seems to bend backwards (or forwards depending on perspective). Especially when a cymbal gets attached. Had to put extra padding to avoid cymbal noise against shell of drum.
Fits just fine on my rope-tensioned Turkish "bass drum": davul. Doesn't slip or move. This is a small rope-tensioned bass drum intended to be worn while walking. I used a length of rope to tie the cymbal attachment to my drum. The bass of the holder is quite tall. Appears to be taller than what is in the picture and it would have been more ergonomic for it to be shorter but so far I haven't had any arm or shoulder pain even after two hour rehearsals. I have polka gigs this weekend and am confident that this will meet my needs but I do wish that the bass was shorter or at least could be disassembled to make it shorter.
I've had mine for 6 years now. Playing in The New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band based in Los Angeles, we have done numerous gigs and parades. The cymbal holder has held its own ! Since we are a second line band we dance with the instruments so they get some punishment. No issues with the holder. I will be getting another for a second bass drum.
The tog mechanism works well, connecting tightly to the bass drum and holding the cymbal for crashing. However, I spent ten minutes trying to get the straps to move until I realized there was a release mechanism. Having an instruction sheet that told the user there was a release mechanism would have saved my time.
