Chaffin-Urban Sketches (SP)-V/X/M

These pieces were conceived as musical impressions drawn from events and activities of typical life in the city. If listeners will allow their imagination to be carried along by the music, they may envision the dark blue of the night, sprinkled with a few faint stars, becoming an ever changing mixture of colors as the Sunrise swells behind the skyline then bursts into the morning sky.

Dr. Chaffin holds a Bachelor of Music from Wayland Baptist University in Church Music and Composition.  His Masters is in Music Theory and Composition from Texas Tech University.  He also received a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Texas Tech with an emphasis in Composition.
