This user-friendly edition of Bizet's Carmen Suite #1 percussion/timpani score was created by Theresa Dimond and tested by the percussion section of the Los Angeles Opera. Born out of necessity, Dimond has constructed a time-saving score that intended to be the "performer's edition". By standardizing notation and location of parts, this score combines several different versions of the original score (this score is based on the Dover score first published in 1989 and the Kalmus parts). The Suites were edited by Fritz Hoffmann, based on Bizet's orchestration of the original opera score.
