This work features many drastic dynamic changes that will challenge most performers. The hardest part of this work is the execution of the sixteenth note rhythms at the slow tempo that this piece is intended to be played at.

Gerard Berlioz comes from a musical family, studied under Francois Dupin, Robert Tourte and Jacques Delecluse and won awards for percussion and specialized solfege at the Paris Conservatory. He is a registered teacher of the city of Paris, and the author of several instruction manual which constantly introduce new ideas.
