This is a great intermediate quartet for membrane instruments. Janissaries is full of musical expression and detail that would be a great challenge for a young percussion quartet.

Gerard Berlioz comes from a musical family, studied under Francois Dupin, Robert Tourte and Jacques Delecluse and won awards for percussion and specialized solfege at the Paris Conservatory. He is a registered teacher of the city of Paris, and the author of several instruction manual which constantly introduce new ideas.
