The De Haske Percussion Series is collection of ensemble pieces that will prove especially useful in teaching young percussion players how to listen and play as a team. It is intended as a supplement to the various tutor books that are available and will provide percussionists with hours of fun.

He was introduced to percussion at a young age, and he played as an amateur musician in various wind bands. After his secondary school education, he began his studies at the Conservatory of Arnhem, which resulted in a percussion diploma in 1978. The following year he also obtained his conductor's certificate for wind and fanfare band.
