Henry Bartlett has composed four different holidays for your percussion trio. All of the compositions take music assosiated with a specific holiday and recreate that special holiiday feeling.
New Years- Auld Lang Syne combined with noise makers open this section to create a ball dropping atmosphere. After the ball drops Bartlett creates a feeling of a Cuban Celebration.
Washingtons Birthday- Patriotic motives are utilized to honor America's first President.
Fourth Of July- The snare dum part in the begining of this movement recreates a battelfield atmosphere to honor Americas Independence.
Cuban Christmas- A cuban realization of the Christmas spirit.
