Good, but not the best...
These mallets are strong and durable, but the sound they produce is not as good as what the Corpsmaster MS4 or Scott Johnson Tenor Sticks can get from the drums. I have been playing tenors for 5 years (4 of those years marching) and find that these mallets are also a bit on the light side. They seem to work best for high school players who are starting to develop technique. Those players can move up to the Scott Johnson Tenor Sticks after a while, plus the other two models I have listed are not as expensive as the Promark.

These mallets are strong durable mallets i use mine all the time on my tenors and i have not yet had one problem.
