Comments:

I like these better than the ones most people use - the grenadilla or rosewood. These are less piercing and bright. Their resonance is loud enough and can project, but their warmer tone is easier on the ears and less annoying; they do not dominate the soundscape, like other, brighter claves do. The finish is not a perfect sealant, so after several years of traveling to gigs, and sitting in my toy bag, they look like they could use some wood oil or something, but still sound good. I like to play them!
