Bosphorus 18" New Orleans Series Crash Cymbal - Product Information
A thin, immediate crash which explodes quickly and has moderate sustain. The body is full and warm with equal balances of high and low frequencies. As with all the New Orleans line, the instrument has trashy undertones yes is still well behaved in a jazz playing situation. An excellent jazz, funk, and fusion crash.
Evoking the spirit of the crescent city, this series feels as good behind a jazz kit as it does on a contemporary setup. These cymbals are completely hand hammered in the traditional manner, then wide-lathed in a continuous spiral from bell to outer edge. The distinctive lathing produces a clear and woody stick sound with more spread than the Turks but less wash than the Traditional Series.
