CPP Media Group is proud to present Henry Adler - master teacher, renowned author, consummate musician and a legend in his own time. His former students read like a "who's who" of drummers and include such names as Buddy Rich, Louie Bellson, Dave Tough, Sonny Igoe, Alvin Stoller, Phil Kraus and countless others.

Henry is best known for his hand building technique which he developed over many years through his keen observation and analysis of other drummers.

As a teacher, Henry has the unique ability to isolate what a student must do to eliminate obstacles which prevent him from technically and rhythmically expressing what is felt within. He considers the proper grip and turn to be the foundation upon which all rudiments are built.

This video is divided into various sections each of which can be studied independently of the others. However, it is suggested that for maximum benefit the student or teacher start at the beginning and proceed only after he has mastered each technique. Henry demonstrates each segment both by himself and then with a student.

We know you will find Hand Development Technique to be an invaluable video for both students and teachers alike.
