Adams Philharmonic Classic Timpani - Product Information

New in the Adams timpani line is the Philharmonic Classic. This lightweight instrument is equipped with a Dresden style pedal mechanism and made for the American playing system.

The Philharmonic Classic features a redesigned patented split rocker arm system. A unique system with an amazing design that decreases the pressure on the frame of the timpani. This will prevent against any flex or changes in the shape of the frame or bowl.

Another great advantage of the Classic is that an extra bar for connection from the front axle to the cam is no longer needed. This is one of the reasons that makes the new model such a lightweight design.

The authentic character, easy operation, and the terrific sound makes the Philharmonic Classic a timpani of the very highest standard.

Comments:

If you can't find an old set of Lights, or the time it takes to look for them, this is your next best shot. We have a set at the university - I play them several times a year for orchestra concerts. Sound is large and consistant, noise free, great pedalsm weigh tons. If the clutch goes out on you - you're screwed. The adjustments, which are many, are difficult and very very touchy. They aren't exactly a joy to move either. The quality of the sound and stable pitch remind me of old Ringers (before Ludwig ruined them) or Hingers. A good set of Renn. heads - your set - great drums!
