I love the sound and feel of this shaker. It's easy to hold and has the perfect volume. Of course this depends on the type of material you have in there, which is the best part about this shaker. It comes with a bag of buckshot, which sounds great, but you can put whatever material in there to get you the sound you want. Such an easy concept and yet the big name brands didn't think of nor do it. Swan did and that's why I love percussion like this that think of the player and what they want, that's outside the box, so to speak.

More great Swan stuff!

Add this to the list of incredibly versatile percussion instruments from Black Swan.. It's so easy to change the sound completely, and microphones love these shakers (live or in a recording environment). Earthy!

These produce incredible sound! Extremely durable. I like to bang two of them together for a unique wood block/shaker sound. I also have one of the beautifully handcrafted Black Swan Drums which has endless percussion possibilities (one-hand drum head tension adjustment !). The drum really projects and is easy to haul around. Wood never sounded (or looked) so good!

Really, Really dig it!

This is the most simple, brilliant idea. I wish I had thought of it. In the first 15 minutes I had filled it with lead shot, rice, glass and even cat food! In the first week I used it on 3 different recording sessions. It is EASILY the most versatile shaker I've ever used. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
