Great weight, feel, and balance. Wood tips have been holding up nicely, even at moderate playing levels. Ordered extras just in case. I have been playing 5A or 7A sticks from other companies but the Bopworks 40's Swing Classic suits the light-to-moderate volume levels I am now playing.

Not Bad
Comments:
They last about as long as any other wooden tip stick. Great feel and control. I'm using them to play old country & rockabilly styles. They began to chip along the grain after about 10 - 15 hours of cymbal use. I will buy more.

Great for Big Band Swing

Great stick. Easy to control on ride cymbal. Helps control the "wash."

Swinging Stick
Comments:
Love the stick! Use it mainly for Big Band, some ensemble work too. The tip sounds great on cymbals! One question, Gene's original stick was 15 7/8". Why is the repro 16"?

Gene Krupa Sticks
Comments:
Light sticks. Probably good for light duty. Poor quality. Mine split during a (Jazz) solo. I had these sticks for a very short time and very limited use. If these were advertized as what Gene Krupa was using, I would have liked to know how many pairs he would have gone through, just for the way Gene played.
