The Cloyd Duff #2 Timpani Malle is a medium hard cartwheel mallet with a felt core. Made with hickory handles and german felt.

Cloyd Duff was the timpanist of the Cleveland Orchestra from 1942 until his retirement in 1981, and earned a reputation as one of the finest timpanists of the twentieth century. The Cloyd Duff Timpani mallets were designed from the original timpani mallets used by Cloyd Duff.

Comments: I'm a high school percussionist, and I've been using the IP Concert series tympani mallets for 3 years. I recently bought these Duff mallets for an audition for a youth orchestra. I had to play Beethoven's 5th finale. These mallets give me the punctuation for this movement perfectly. They are much smaller and lighter than the IP mallets as well. I wish I had bought these instead of the IP's 3 years ago.
