Daughtrey-Winter Prelude and Postlude (SP)-M/4M - Product Information
A Winter Prelude and A Winter Postlude were written specifically for recording on Nathan Daughtrey's holiday CD, "The Yuletide Marimba." The two pieces act as solemn bookends, opening and closing the album with peaceful arrangements of "Jingle Bells." The rhapsodic solo A Winter Prelude uses rippling sticking permutations to explore only the chorus of the popular Christmas song in various harmonic presentations. A Winter Postlude is a lush chorale for marimba quartet, which sets only the opening verse of the carol, giving the melody to Player 1 throughout. These two arrangements work as perfect companion pieces to the solo arrangements found in "The Yuletide Marimbist" book, as well as Daughtrey's other holiday marimba quartet arrangements, "Deck the Halls," "Silent Night" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen."Number of players - 4
