The Dream Vintage Bliss 20" Crash Ride is popular among Jazz drummers for its complex overtones and great stick definition. Dream Cymbals released the Vintage Bliss as its own series after the first proto-type bliss cymbals became collector's items. Vintage Bliss Cymbals are characterized by their soft edge, low profile bell and gradual taper. You could spend hundreds of dollars more to get this type of sound from a vintage Turkish Cymbal from the 50s or 60s. This 20" Vintage Bliss Crash Ride is hand hammered before and after the micro lathing process resulting in amazing tones and a fabulous wash. The taper becomes very thin at the edges giving you a wobble you can see, but still retaining its definition. The Vintage Bliss 20" Crash Ride is a Jazz drummers Dream.

This is more like a gong than a cymbal. Honestly if you needed a gong sound without taking up extra space then just get one of these and roll on it with mallets or even hands. They are so thin that they respond extremely well when played with hands. Used as a ride cymbal, the stick sound is not especially noticeable. Maybe it just needs time to dry out a bit.
