Dream 24" Bliss Series Small Bell Flat Ride Cymbal - Product Information

The Dream Bliss 24" Small Bell Flat Ride is the ultimate in stick definition from Dream Cymbals. Dream is known for producing great cymbals with a vintage quality. This is due, in part to the hand hammering that takes place before and after the lathing process. The 24" Bliss Small Bell Flat Ride's low profile and small half cup combined with a slightly thicker cymbal have created the ultimate Bliss ride. The articulation of a 24" flat ride from Dream remains musical and vibrant. There is simply NO other cymbal like it in the world. The 24" Dream Bliss Small Bell Flat Ride will definitely feel right at home in your cymbal set up.

Comments:

When I walked into a local drum shop several weeks ago, looking to see some of the more boutiqish constantinople ride cymbals, the owner of the establishment brought out a Dream 24" Bliss Series Small Bell Flat Ride cymbal. After mounting the cymbal and working with it, I was pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful dark, rich tone with complex wash, and great stick definition. This cymbal is very dark!! And, I like that!!! I play mostly jazz and it fits my needs really well. It also has a dark crash with complex overtones, but wonderful feel. I can honestly say, "I love this cymbal". After testing it with a wood type vic firth acorn headed stick, I then switched to nylon. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the nylon stick still gave the cymbal the dark tone, but provided slightly brighter stick definition on initial attack. But, the finish is that same complex wash. What a great sound. I will definitely be using some of my retired nylons because of how it presents this cymbal. It is awesome for jazz.. Be advised though, this cymbal is not extremely loud. But, it is by all means worth considering. Needless to say, I did buy the cymbal. One of the things that I have noticed with Dream cymbals is that since they are all handmade, you really need to examine each cymbal independently. No two sound the same... Check it out. If you are like me, you will love the cymbal as I do.
