The Evans Corps Clear Marching Tenor Heads feature a 2-ply design with 6.5 mil top-ply and 10 mil bottom-ply that not only delivers clarity of tone over the drum but enables the drums to cut through the ensemble in clear and discernible pitches to reach out front and into the stands. The extra thickness (16.5 mil total) compared to standard tenor heads (14–15mil total) make the Evans Corps Clear more durable. This added durability not only prolongs the life of the head but keeps them in tune longer.

Great Tenor Heads

I put these heads on a Large set of Yamaha Tenors. We are are 1A Sized band. These heads sound great, I love their tone, and they project well. Tuning seems to have held up pretty well too.

Fast delivery!! Not bad sound, hold tones pretty decent even after just being put on. I don't think I'd choose another brand of tenor heads than Evans and this just assured me of that.

Little Drum Repair

Comments:

As someone not usually working with drum, it was not too difficult to locate the 8" drum head options for a small drum off an old drum set that someone "donated" (abandoned with commentary) to our event. The head worked just fine to replace the broken one it was donated with. At some point we will paint the drum barrel to complete its transformation to a new life at our charity Renaissance Faire. Currently small and silver, it might show up in future photos. Happy you could help with our "to-do" list in the pre-season.

Great sound

I put this head on a set of Yamaha tenors this past year, and I was very pleased. A good sound with a lot of body, and they tune very easily. We switched from the MX Frosted...a great move.
