I have read more than one review on this product with complaints about the right beater bouncing when playing *Heel Up*. If you care to take advice from a professional who's been playing for over 50 years I will off this opinion. First of all playing *Heel Up* is not a proper technique to begin with. Place your foot flat on the footboard and, just as you should play your sticks with action from the wrists, play these pedals with action from the ankle! That is why there is a footboard and not a *toe loop*!!! You're either a *player* or a *stomper*. If you're playing with an incorrect technique then you have no reason or right to complain! These pedals are simply a tool, just like any other tool, and will only give you optimum performance when used correctly! Now, that said, I can offer two suggestions. 1. Shorten the beater shaft and loosen the spring tension, or 2. learn to control the bounce. I own this pedal system and I LOVE them! Best double pedals available for the price -- PERIOD! I have absolutely NO ISSUES with this piece of equipment! They are lightning fast and smooth as silk! Blaming your inability to use these pedals on the pedals is like blaming your inability to play with your hands on the sticks! It's NOT the pedals! They're great! I'm willing to bet the problem lies in *operator error*!

Also sweet but bounces

The pedal is smooth and light, but the main pedal has a bounce because it doesn't have the rock plate like the slave. If you do doubles the heel plate will bounce around. Currently, you cannot buy the rock plate to fix the problem. Here is a video of the problem: http://youtu.be/gCNoYSMK6U8

good pedal

it is a very good pedal. it is almost as good as some of the better ones, for way less. i have had for about a year and i only have one complaint. the Velcro bottom doesn't stick, so the slave pedal slides and the shaft rubs against the bass drum hoop. other than that though, it is a very good pedal
