I wanted to expand my options on my Gibraltar gong stand. Hang another gong, maybe some large bells and while looking for something else in the Steve Weis online catalog I came across the gong stand hooks by Gibraltar. Perfect!
I've never had one break and I hang some big Gongs and other metal instruments. Can't ever go wrong with Gibraltar.
If you have a Gibraltar gong stand and need extra hooks than these are for you! I had trouble locating them, but once again Steve Weiss came through! They're very well made and worth the price!
The reason I ordered the Rack Gong Stand Mounts was to replace my existing mounts due to the fact that the 'S' hooks do not fit snugly into the mounts, thereby, allowing the hooks to swing making it quite difficult to remove and replace my 32" gong to the stand (one hook actually came out and scratched my (Paiste Brilliant) gong. Nothing wrong with the items I received, however, the 'S' hooks are even narrower (is that a word?!) in dimension than the hooks I already have - unfortunately problem not solved. Should you come upon tight fitting hooks and mounts that do not create a swing action, please let me know.Thanks
