Consistency is a problem

Comments:

I ordered two of these chime hammers and they were both completely different. The first one was a high quality one which was well made, great lacker on the hammer, and balanced well. The second one was completely thrown together quickly with know thought about quality in it. Wood on the handle was a different weight from the other, hammer was scratched and didn't even have a lacker on it, and the brass at the top of the handle was dented and tarnished. If you are looking for consistency and quality with your mallets, this is neither the hammer or company to go with.

NOT A BAD MALLET

Comments:

This is an OK mallet, but I prefer my Grover mallet because the weighting is better, the handle is more comfortable and the "two-tone" system works better. This is not a bad mallet though...

Excellent hammer

Comments:

I was seeking the perfect balance of quality and price and the CC1 is just that. The clear plastic head mallets are cheap, and often chip and crack with time. You'll have to end up replacing those time and time again. The rawhide is a great classic mallet, but also has durability issues and will have to be replaced. The Grover and Adams mallets are no better than the CC1, yet nearly 2x as much!! The thicker wood handle provides greater control, and the brass weighted core brings out the full tone of the chime. The head is made of some extremely durable black plastic material. I've owned it for about a month with no damage to the head at all. My only complaint is that the Felt side is a bit too weak (leather would probably have worked better). But for around $22 you get a great sounding mallet with good durability and at an affordable price.
