I have a number of large Tibetan singing bowls. The CG2 works wonderfully on bowls that are at least 10 inches, bringing out low, sweet, bass tones. The bigger the bowl the better, and its heft is quite helpful on the 13 to 22 inch bowls that are thick and rather unresponsive to a lighter, cheaper felt head. For those who use the Vic Firth GB4, this mallet is similar, but brings out the lower bass range so well, that it adds a whole other dimension of sound. Before investing in a 18 inch bowl to get that deeeeeep thud, try this mallet on a somewhat smaller bowl-and listen to it throb!
