Innovative Field Series FSPR Paul Rennick Marching Snare Drumsticks - Product Information

Paul Rennick, Director and Arranger of the University of North Texas Drum Line, and Percussion Caption Head and Arranger of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, has designed the FS-PR signature model marching snare drumstick.

Pauls stick is constructed of heartwood hickory for increased durability. The FS-PR features a long taper and a larger diameter teardrop shaped bead creating a quick rebound and response, while still creating a full tone quality. The FS-PR is an excellent alternative in size and feel to the FS-1 and FS-BK, and a great addition to our Field Series marching snare drumstick line.

Features:
-Heartwood Hickory
-Teardrop Bead
-Long Taper
-Length: 17
-Thickness: .690

Great stick in general

Comments:

I used these for marching season this past fall and you can't go wrong with these. They're a good diameter, not too wide, not too skinny, so they feel comfortable in hand. The bead produces a good sound, rebounds well, and the weight distribution is good. If you're looking for a stick to use for your line, or just for yourself, these are a great choice. Also, if you fully tape them, they feel really nice. But that's your call. You can't go wrong with these.

Great sticks, on the light side

Comments:

I rate this as a 5 as I am leaving the longevity of the sticks out of the equation (innovative sticks tend to "die" quickly). These sticks, along with vic firth ms4s, have the best feel, in my opinion, of all the sticks I have used. They are definitely lighter than the drumstick staple, promark DC50s, but it compensates through a better, precise, and articulated feel. They are not for building chops (light weight) but are agile sticks that are great as performance pairs.

awesome

Comments:

I play center snare in high school and I'm currently auditioning for Phantom Regiment. These sticks have a very good feel to them and they're better than any Vic Firth sticks I've used in the past. Overall they're a great pair of sticks that won't let you down.

Great Stick, Great Drummer

Comments:

I love the way Paul Rennick writes and plays, and his corps, the Phantom Regiment, is one of my favorites, so I was very excited to try out his sticks. They are fantastic, and I would recommend them to anybody. They feel so natural, and it feels like you have to put in much less force than with sticks such as SRH or SSJ, which really helps to prevent fatigue. I love these sticks.
