Perfect Contest Piece for Advanced 8th Grader

I have been using this piece for solo contest for advanced 8th grade snare drummers for several years. I used it at my previous school district I taught in, and when I started a new job in a new school district this year, I had to have this piece at my new school district because I remembered what excellent results I had with it in previous school districts. This piece is challenging and fun to play. Interesting rhythm patterns, dynamics, and has interesting use of a few 32nd note patterns thrown in here and there. I can't say for sure because I haven't taught high school for many years, but I would guess this would work well as an easy high school level solo for a freshman or sophomore.
