These are popular percussive add-ons that simulate a range of woodblock effects-without the worry of hairline cracks and chipping so common in old woodblocks. Crafted of Jenigor, LP's exclusive plastic formulation, these blocks can be played quietly with rods, mallets, or hard with sticks and they will not crack or splinter. They are modern versions of age-old favorites.
The LP1209 has a dual playing surface, the traditional surface, the other surface is ridged in a series of grooves. The latter enables glissando and guiro-like effects. Again, the LP Jam Block/Guiro is strong, incredibly durable and capable of great projection. A heavy duty mounting bracket and an LP eye-bolt assembly are included.

The service that I received was awesome. The jam block was packed very well, and sounds awesome. It is fun to play. It adds a great variety to my drum kit and different music. Thank you.
This is the largest synthetic block I know of. The pitch is in the range of the LP Black Beauty Cowbell and other similar bells, but with a block tone obviously. The guiro side is cool and creates a sound similar to those frog rasps. Definitely very heavy though so if you plan on holding it for long periods of time or mounting it to a stand with many other instruments keep this in mind.
You can always rely on Jam Blocks. My only comment is that this one was larger and heavier than I expected. It's certainly loud enough.
