LP Talking Drum - Medium - Product Information
The LP 751 Medium talking drum traces it's origins to the Griot's of West African cultures. The drum is said to "talk" because of its wide variety of pitches that change when the drum is squeezed under the arm. LP takes this traditional Talking Drum and updates it for modern players and the demands they place on their instruments. The LP751 is created from kiln dried siam oak and fitted with hand picked rawhide heads. LP specially designed the rim to eliminate squeak from the head, allowing for effortless playing.The LP Talking drums are available in three sizes; small with 5" heads, medium with 6" heads, and large with 7-1/2" heads. They are available 11", 13" and 16" sizes.
