In 1923 Ludwig unveiled its 3-ply shell formula and created the sound that defined a century. The Ludwig Legacy Classic series uses many of the same materials and construction techniques to revive this distinctive sound that set the standard for popular music. Key to the Legacy Classic’s sound are the 3-ply shells of poplar and maple and the ¼″ single ply Maple reinforcement hoops. The rounded classic-cut bearing edges produce a musical tone that is unmistakable making these drums perfect for any critical music application.
Legacy Classic shells are made from choice cuts of hand-selected North American hardwoods. A core ply of premium Poplar yields warmth and resonance while cross-laminated inner and outer plies of Maple deliver power and clarity. This proven design is then augmented with ¼″ single-ply Maple reinforcement hoops and rounded classic-cut bearing edges for thundering lows and pronounced articulation, suitable for any musical style.
The LLC3344LXCM Bun E Carlos Signature kit takes a great sounding set of drums and with the Citrus Mod wrap make and unforgettably stunning instrument. The Kit includes a 14″ × 24″ Bass Drum, 9″ × 13″ Tom Tom, and 16″ × 16″ Floor Tom. Like all Ludwig USA drums, these will be made to order. Please allow 14–16 weeks for delivery.
