Malletech Bob Becker BB34 Medium Rattan Xylo/Bell Mallets "Becker Blues" - Product Information

Malletech BB34 Bob Becker Series Xylophone and Glockenspiel Mallets are a medium-bright lightweight xylophone mallet with a clear, but not overly bright tone. Sometimes referred to as “Becker Blues” these mallets were designed for solo xylophone and are light, similarly weighted and easy to maneuver quickly around the instrument. The rattan handle diameters are 7 to 7.4 mm on the BB34. These mallets will not damage rosewood bars in any way.

Yes!

Comments:

I go to Ithaca College and everyone owns these mallets. There's no doubt as to why. Perfect for those rosewood xylos especially Bob Becker models. Only thing to be aware of is they are not the greatest for playing Porgy and Bess. Nevertheless their light weight makes them easy to quickly move around any instrument.

Glue

Comments:

They were great until I used them in a performance. Both heads came off the shaft. Good thing I had my handy dandy 30 year old Deagsn's handy. I have never had this happen. These mallets are too expensive to fail on first use.

Awesome!!

Comments:

Malletech needs to make these types of mallets more often. Nice round tone and great for solos. If you're buying your first set of xylophone mallets, you should definitely get these. Words can't describe how I feel about the them!

Son LOVES them!

Comments:

This was a purchase for my high school son. They were recommended to him, so he asked for them. When he tried them, he was impressed. They handled well, and produced a nicer sound than the old mallets he was using.

Eh.

Comments:

Good mallets but too light.... great for speed but they dont cut through and theyre pretty damnnnn short. Good mallets to have but only if accompanied by a pair of heavier stronger xylo mallets.
