Used in a calypso Christmas song "The Virgin Mary had a baby boy" accompanying a baby grande piano and bongos along with a 70 voice choir; venue was an church with awesome acoustics. The tone of the shaker was clear and could be heard without too much effort on my part. Also, very easy to play.
