The Mike Balter 91BXL Marching Keyboard mallets feature a 1 1/8" medium hard poly head and birch shaft. The overall length is 15 1/8".The Unwound Series consists of various oval shaped rubber, wood, metal, and plastic heads to supply multiple timbres and dynamic levels. Designed for response, clarity, control and sensitivity. Satin birch handles.

Why XL?
This mallet's overall length is 15 1/8", which is 1" longer then the standard Balter 91B. Due to an overwhelming customer demand, we have select Balter mallets custom made with 1" longer on some models, where the majority of our customers request it.
