For being so inexpensive, this is a really nice cowbell. It has a very clear, resonant tone but that can be muted if desired. There is a wingnut that comes with it so you can mount it to a percussion mount or cymbal stand. LP may be better but they don't come close to this price, and for casual use this is probably a better buy anyway.
