Pearl Stadium Hardware - Tenor (RM-SHQP) - Product Information

With Pearl Stadium Tenor Hardware by Randy May, you can now position your entire percussion section in the stands and allow the drums to be in correct playing positions, and keep the gear looking like brand new for years and years.

Stadium Hardware features a unique, patented, adjustable tripod system that allows one leg to be independently adjusted to compensate for bleacher risers or just about any other uneven surface that you might encounter. Imagine the freedom of setting through a game without the weight of an instrument on your shoulders. And while on flat surfaces, youll also find that Stadium Hardware offers the most sturdy, stable, solid stand available, and its patented tripod can also be adjusted to tilt the stand and change the center of gravity for greater stability and improved playing technique. Whether indoors or out, there has never been a drum stand like Stadium Hardware by May.

Constructed from highly durable, yet extremely lightweight ribbed luminum extrusion, all Stadium Hardware stands are easy to ransport, easy to set-up and built to last. All adjustment points feature T-Handle bolts for the ultimate in security, and all tube collars are also extruded aluminum with structural hollows for both strength and low weight. The deep groove rib design of the tubes allows the leg brackets to effortlessly slide up and down the tube for adjustment, and then securely lock into place.

Individual stands have been specifically designed for Snare Drums, Marching Tom Sets, Bass Drums, and a multi-use Cymbal Station. Gripping rubber feet are provided for leg stability on all stands, a sliding adjustable stabilizer is provided on the snare stand to stabilize the bottom hoop, and the Tom Stand features an adjustable telescoping cantilever arm for greater tom set stability. Mounting and removing your instrument is as easy as simply dropping it into place on the provided mounting bracket of each stand.

Stadium Hardware is the most stable, easy to use percussion stand on the market today...and the only stands that are truly in the game.

Problems with Mounting System

Comments: In theory the system should work great, but there are two very distinct problems with the tenor stadium hardware by Randall May. The mounting brackets in which the the drums are placed is a such lightweight aluminum that they bend forward nearly immediately. Also, Pearl or Randall May do not offer sufficient hardware (specifically the bolts) that hold the 6" drum, and as a result, the drum sits too close to the drum's mounting bar and scrapes and scratches the drums. I suggest finding the old peg style stands or simply purchase the Pearl tenor stand. Hope this is useful!
