Both end-plates have a 1/4" hole in the center to attach the wire to the strainer frame with a screw. Super Sensitive Snare (1920-1968)
The snare wire for a 15" Super Sensitive snare drum (for models build from 1920-1968) has 12 strands, an overall length of 16 1/2", and a strand length of 15 1/2" (including the soldered area on each end-plate).
