These worked/sounded great. The old heads had a muffle attached, and I was concerned that these would ring too much because they didn't have one. The heads are thick enough and don't require a muffle. Really good quality.

Best sound, least work

I take these directly from the box, onto the drums. No muffling adjustment. They go on, they sound perfect, they last a LONG time and they hold pitch (after the first few days) like a dream. Get them seated well initially by checking the pitch at every lug and they will stretch uniformly, so even bringing them back up after they settles takes less than 5 minutes.

These are really nice heads. They sound great, they look great and seem really well made. I've only had them for a couple of weeks so I can't comment on durability, but they seem like they will last a long long time.
