The Doug DeMorrow DD400 hard yarn mallets from Salyers Percussion work well on the top 3 octaves of the 5 octave marimba and project a full tone through any ensemble. The rattan handles are perfectly sized to balance the extra weight of these mallets.
The Doug DeMorrow collection of mallets is designed to provide the performer with more tone and projection than any other series of mallets. All mallets in the collection have large brass weighted inner cores, various layers of rubber and are wrapped with a very durable wool blend yarn. They are perfect for the modern percussion ensemble, band and orchestra work or even marching band.
