I've always used Regal Tip 583R's as a general, everyday brush until I stumbled on these Vater Wire Taps. Now I'll always have a pair of these in my stickbag. Same size, shape, and wire gauge as RT but the retractable part is much better. Slides in/out easily, and the little cap on the back feels like it locks the brush open more accuratley and securely.
