Great Compliment to Genis 2

Comments:

I bought two pair of these sticks after trying the Genis 2 model. They are a perfect compliment and produce a rich full bodied sound with little effort. They are well balanced and I particularly like the thin tapper that provides an effortless rebound. Like others have mentioned, I also own several pairs of sticks from the Vic SD1 to a couple pair of Cooperman's (Graham C. John's #1 in persimmon and rosewood). My Genis sticks are always in play while the others generally stay in the bag. Vic Firth makes outstanding sticks, so don't let the price fool you into thinking you're getting a lesser product.

Good Stick!!

Comments:

These are very comfortable sticks. I like the diameter, it fits perfectly in my hand. I would recommend these to anyone from beginner to professional. As always, Steve Weiss has the best prices.

Very Nice...

Comments:

Great for solo work and classical-style snare pieces. They also have a fantastic rebound and heavy enough to really shine in an ensemble if need be (Rimsky-Korsakov, Shostakovich), but also fit perfectly in the mix of the percussion section. I recommend them for all looking for a good orchestral snare stick.

Great

Comments:

I've used these sticks for awhile now, and my hands have become accustomed to the feel of the stick. Once you get used to it, there's no going back! Great sticks!!

Excellent stick

Comments:

This is a great stick for generating a big sound. I use them for all my general playing in concert band. They are a bit heavy in the front ("Tubby" is a word my teacher likes to use), but they are really meant to be played in a manner in which the stick does all the work and, provided your head gives them enough rebound, they work wonderfully. These sticks do take a little getting used to.
