I started playing symphonic percussion long before all the new concert percussion manufacturers came into existence. So I have been using Tom Gauger mallets back when he was making them in his garage and before he joined Vic Firth. They are high quality concert bass drum mallets. There is a good selection to meet any playing situation or part. The ultra staccato mallet has a defined attack and produces clear articulation. I have the entire Gauger bass drum mallet line and they have served me well for over 40+ years of playing.
