This is a good general-purpose splash and some of these sound amazing. The main problem I have found, which really applies to most cymbals so I won't take points off for it here, is that you basically must hear the cymbal first. I have noticed with the Zildjian A splashes some have a very out-of-tune ring to them or an abnormally long sustain for a splash.
Must Have!

I've had this model for years and it's my go-to for all splash needs. I play early Jazz & Ragtime and other arrangements where a splash is often needed. This puppy sounds exactly like what you hear on the old recordings. Back in the day, most of the early kits had a 10" splash and a 14" Chinese and maybe an orchestral cymbal and that was it. The 10" A Splash really does the job. IMHO, anyone needing a good splash to add to their sound would do well to start here!
