This is my 2nd tuxedo bag, but this is my first XL version. The zipper was flimsy on my first bag, but it's so far so good

Lots of mallet bags out there; my other one is a tall circular one (which I use for South American mallets for surdos and the like). Of the large "suit bag" style models on the market, this one's the sturdiest (it doesn't flop around, even when empty) and has the best internal organizational scheme as the rows are offset a bit and thus it is easier to see all mallets at once if you have a fully loaded bag. Tuxedo bags are built to last and are well-priced for their quality.
Great spacious bag. A fellow percussionist had the same bag and that prompted me to purchase one for myself. It easily stores all of my concert percussion gear and makes everything easy to find. It has two large pockets on the outside. It would be great if Humes & Berg had "bellowed" one of the pockets and maybe put some smaller pockets for pencils, tuners, etc on the inside of it. Thus, a 4 instead of a 5.
I've been ordering from Steve Weiss since I was in college. I just bought this stick bag for my son (college freshman music major). Pencil holders, pockets are large enough for music folders, several sections for mallets/sticks and even has backpack straps in addition to regular handles.
Like most of Humes & berg products, this mallet bag is very durable and the straps it has come in very useful. Has a ton of room for multiple pairs of yarn mallets, bass drum mallets, chime, snare sticks, etc! Very satisfied!
This bag has more than enough room. Very reliable and good features. Great mallet bag to get if you have outgrown a smaller stick/mallet bag.
Within the first week of having this bag it started falling apart. the velcro on the handles started coming off and the zipper stopped working to where i can't close it all the way. there is plenty of room though and the backpack straps are nice for transport.
Appears sturdy, plenty of room.
This bag is superbly made. I couldn't be happier with it. I can fit 4 mallets in almost every pouch, and the velvet cover protects the mallets very well. I can tell you how happy I am with this purchase. It is serving me well at the University of Oklahoma.
Like most percussionists I have gone through maybe 4-5 different stick bags (from different companies) trying to find the best bag that protects my mallets, is convenient to carry around, and lasts for a considerable amount of time. My bag search ended when I came across the TX8006. This massive bag is made of a very durable material and contains 18 inner pouches for all of your storing needs (each inner pouch can comfortably store 4 mallets). There is a soft inner flap that folds down to cover your mallet heads, and the "hanging hooks" to hang on a marimba are extremely strong. There is a slight difficulty in zipping the top of the bag closed when it is full, however folding the soft flap down and velcro-ing the handles together does the job. Highly recommend this bag!
This is the most reliable and sturdy bag I've ever owned. My mallet, sticks, and various beaters are protected greatly. This bag is made to be fantastic. A pouch on either side, 18 pockets on the inside, and a tiny pocket on the inside for pencils or various little things. The only complaint is that the pad that is on the strap for your shoulder wears out and is known to come off. I prefer my bag without it but it should be noted. -This bag has the working musician in mind. I'll always be using the TUX bags!
This bag is a great bag to have. It can and will hold many mallets. Also the inside is very soft and padded, which protects my mallets very well. Another great thing about this bag is the two outer chambers that can hold my tambourine, practice pad, and triangle. A very good investment.
This is great for anyone with all sorts of mallets and sticks. It has two pouches in the back and front to hold endless amount of music, binders, books, and more. It protects the mallets pretty well, and can be attached to any size keyboard. Great price too!
So my friends hav this bag and I loved it. Then I decided to order it . When it came in the stitching was terrible ( I'm mean bad ). The brand name "Tuxedo" was lop sided. I don't know if I can still return it... I got about three weeks ago...
This bag is big! It has eighteen pockets on the inside spread out in two rows (top and bottom). It also has two large outer pockets, one on each side of the bag which are very good for holding triangles, books, towels, or anything relatively flat; woodblocks work too. I was a little disappointed that I could not fit a tambourine in the outer pocket. The inside looks like it can hold several mallets but one flaw is being able to zipper the bag all the way. When the bag is full, it is absolutely impossible to zipper the top closed. But the bag remains efficient in that it stores the your mallets, drumsticks, and beaters and stays closed on the bottom and side. The shoulder strap is very adjustable for wearing the bag like a messenger bag. It also has handles that can be velcroed shut together.
