I bought this to go with my recently purchased Bell Plate. This is a very innovative piece of hardware that works well. I plan to use it with not only the bell plate, but a small gong or two. This is very well made and top notch.

It is a great design and works really well. I used it mainly for a multi setup with an opera gong, but it provides a very sturdy mount for any gong. My issue is with the price. The painted coating flakes off at nothing opening up the possibility for rust. For a solid piece of metal with two welded hooks made in Taiwan, at 15 bucks I want the rust proofing to be a little bit better. Maybe buff the edges a bit. It's a cheaper alternative to outright buying a gong stand, but you could make several of these on your own out of wood for the same price and serve the same purpose. That said, it does what it's supposed to.
I bought a 30 " zildjian gong,and didn't have a whole lot left to spend on a stand,so I thought I'd give this cymbal stand adapter a try.the description says that it will hold up to a 22",but it's holding this 30" with no problem,and so I recommend the Cannon wing gong adapter.
Very useful product. I have used it for opera gongs and wind gongs.
