If you look it is nearly impossible to adjust the actual snare guts when you purchase this drum. If just one side of the three guts on the bottom is just a little off it will sound very fuzzy. I have worked with two of these drums about both should have been sent back for stripped alan screws when purchased and terrible cut edges on top and bottom of drum.

an outstanding drum. I have old Hingers and Leedy's. This drum matches up to them in sound. It was ready to play out of the box. I tweaked it a bit and it sounds great. I have had no problems with this one. It's a great drum!!
