A well balanced stick, especially for pad work. Gave it a 3 and not higher because the pair I received looked as thought they sat on the shelf for quite a while (either in the store or at Coopermans). The stain on the sticks was even, until removed from the sheath... different color where the sticks meet in the middle-meaning, they've been sitting like that for some time. The sticks WERE NOT pitched matched at all. Again, because (I assume) they have been sitting for some time. For a 25 dollar pair of sticks, I would want a perfect pair.

Sticks balanced and played well, however althought these sticks are listed in the marching section they are not suited for a tight snare or rim style of playing. This company did not provide and data alerting the consumer to this and when the sticks broke on the first marching band run out they basically told us "tough luck" you should not have used the sticks for a playing style they were not designed for. On a good note, the Cooperman Co. has worked with us and will replace the sticks with another model.

Great Stick. Light and fast up front. Sounds great on all styles of heads and all styles of music. The large round bead gives a full but crisp response from the drum. Definately one of my favorites
