Sure the brushes are cheap but the picture is very misleading. The handles are just straight and not nicely shaped like in the picture. They are also painted black to probably hide the crappy wood use to make them. For all I know, they could have been made from wooden dowels from the hardware store. The brushes are alright for the price but just be warned that the picture is very misleading.
