Everything You Need, Why Pay More?

Here's the honest truth about triangle clips - they need to hold the instrument without deadening the sound, they need to be sturdy when clipped, and they need to be comfortable to hold, THAT'S IT. These clips do all of those things as well as any other clip on the market (and I would actually go so far as to say that between the size, shape, and the fact that they're made from wood I actually find them MORE comfortable to hold than some other options). The fact that they're only $8 is just the icing on the cake. There is no need to spend $40(?!) on a "fancier" clip; it won't be any better than this one with the only difference being lightness of your wallet.

String broke immediately

While the clip is solid and affordable, the string on both items I ordered broke within one rehearsal. I am going to have to replace with a stronger material.

Great little clip. Mine only has one loop and its not a secure-a-tie. With a simple Amazon order I added them to this clip and my Danmar triangle holder and I'm good to go. Other than that there's not a whole lot to say. 4 stars for the single non secure-a-tie loop. If Steve Weiss upgrades back to the double loop it would be 5 stars.

Ok, in my previous review (as with others) I mentioned that this clip only includes one nylon cord. I also mentioned how I did an upgrade by purchasing 100 5" secure-a-tie loops from ebay, which are essentially what the well known brand of this clip is using, only theirs are blue. Well, it appears that Steve Weiss actually READS these reviews! I recently ordered two more of these clips, which arrived today. While the wood is a bit thinner (but still plenty sturdy), the clips now include not one, but TWO loops, which are secure-a-tie loops! So, way to go Steve Weiss, these are now the best value in a triangle clip that I've found.

Great clip - does exactly what it's supposed to do, mine had two loops of fishing line for security, and the price is great. This is a little bit of a petty complaint, but I wish the drilled holes for the line were a little bigger. I actually use beaded cable ties much like what you see on the Grover triangle clips on my equipment and the thickness of the cable ties only allows for one to fit. That being said, the clip is great and I highly recommend it rather than spending a whole bunch of money on other triangle clips on the market.

Good alternative

The overall quality of this clip is excellent. I was very impressed upon receiving it. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the same as Nick's review, it only comes with a single loop. However, I was able to purchase 100 5" secure-a-tie loops from ebay for only a few dollars. I simply replaced the existing single loop with 2 new loops and I have plenty left over for the future.

Works Perfectly!

This is a great triangle clip! I strongly recommend it! Do not spend too much money buying "professional" ones.

Great overall, but...

This triangle clip is a great alternative to a similar brand-name clip that costs $35! My only major disappointment with this product is that it only has a SINGLE loop of line to hold the triangle (at least mine did, the picture appears to have a double loop). I would not want to use this clip in a concert without adding a backup loop in case the line breaks.
