I am a longtime theatre pit player. I need instruments that can be mounted and played with sticks if it is a quick cue. Inside the box of this product is a note saying that it is to be played only with hands or soft mallets. Sorry, but I will be hitting them with sticks if needed. It would be a good idea to include this info in your product description. (Note: I also own an LP mountable model that has worked but is now wearing out and not speaking as loudly)
