For the price there is nothing that even comes close to what Dixon gives you. I've got 2 of these on my drum set and have not had a minutes trouble with them. They are fairly sturdy compared to a Yamaha or Pearl, but half the cost. The boom is just the right length to allow me to get my cymbals where I want them. No more working around my hardware like I had to do before I got the boom stands. Worth the money, but if you're going to be using a really heavy cymbal you may want to look into something with a little bigger base to carry the weight.
